Fans and friends send Scott and Brian food and drink from all over the world. The intrepid hosts sample new items every day live on the air and give their opinions of experience. Usually the tasting occurs while calling Darrell the TrekNerd for the Stump a Trek Nerd segment. While Scott sometimes isn't fond of the food, Brian is usually happy to sample most anything. One notable exception was episode 315 when Brian voiced his displeasure with thickened liquids created for Dysphagia patients.

In episode 125, Brian and Scott were discussing Juggalos. Brian stated that "somebody in Detroit needs to send us some Faygo, and we'll drink it right here on air." Scott said, "we're going to talk about it on the show. Drink it on the show and tell people what I think of their fancy Juggalo drink.
In episode 141, Scott and Brian moved food testing to the Trek Nerd segment, because Darrell noted that they had forgotten to do it earlier. The pattern stuck, and now Scott asks the question while they let Darrell "chew on the question while we chew on beer chips."
